Redesigning the Interview Process

THE ASK

After experiencing several hiring missteps, a private wealth management firm wanted help evaluating and enhancing their interview processes.

OUR PROCESS

The Cee Suite worked with the company’s Human Resources department to analyze their recruiting funnel and hiring process. We interviewed senior stakeholders and reviewed feedback from interviewers and candidates to gain insights into the company's strengths and opportunities to improve their recruiting.

Finally, we used industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for streamlining and tightening up assessments.

We made several recommendations, including:

  • Edit job descriptions to better attract candidates with key skills and qualifications

  • Streamline and structure the interview process to mitigate bias and provide a clear assessment of candidates

  • Leverage our new guidelines for candidate pass through rates to monitor pipeline efficiency

  • Assign specific competencies to each interviewer to improve process efficiency

  • Use new interviewer guides, with new questions to address motivation, work ethic and other “soft skills or traits” that may have been missed in prior interviews.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

New interview process:

  • Streamlined and structured process

  • Guidelines for candidate pass-through rates (funnel)

  • Robust interviewer, assessment and evaluation guides

  • Interview Skills & Bias Training for all employees
