Building Diversity and Recruiting Strategies

THE ASK

A growing real estate private equity firm wanted to build out their diversity and recruiting strategies. The firm needed a holistic approach to setting their workforce demographics goals and developing modern hiring practices.

OUR PROCESS

The Cee Suite started by reviewing internal workforce data and hiring process documents to understand the client's existing practices. We also interviewed key stakeholders engaged in their diversity and recruiting initiatives. Following this assessment, we used geographic and industry benchmarks to make recommendations for the firm's diversity goals. 

We ultimately created a strategic action plan to help the organization progress toward their goals, including:

  • Embed diversity at the outset of their recruiting activities, from marketing to selection of sourcing channels

  • Leverage technology, data and metrics to track progress and inform strategy

  • Streamline and structure the interview process to mitigate bias and provide a clear assessment of candidates

  • Assign leadership roles to ensure accountability in talent management
